我的海外春节特别篇--西班牙小哥“鲁天”在中国

　　这个春节，我们特别策划了“我的海外春节”专栏，邀请曾参与我们《移民故事》的6位嘉宾及特邀友人，分享他们在海外过年的故事。

　　今天我们讲的是西班牙小哥“鲁天”在中国的春节故事。

　　“鲁天”的中国春节

　　Before I came to China I didn’t know anything about Chinese New year. For me was completely new realizing that China has its own calendar (different than western countries) and that each year is represented by an animal.

　　在我来中国之前，我对春节一无所知。中国有自己的日历的这件事让我大开眼界。（不同于西方国家），而且每年都有一个代表性的动物。

　　The first time I had the opportunity to celebrate the Chinese Year in China was amazing. It was in Beijing, there were fireworks all day long. I was standing in my window and it was very beautiful watching how everywhere there were fireworks and people celebrating in the streets. A Chinese friend cooked for us dumplings (of course we helped him)

　　我第一次得到在中国庆祝新年的机会时，那种感觉真的很棒。那次是在北京，一整天都在放烟花。我站在窗前，看着到处燃放烟花和在街上庆祝的人们，让我感觉很美。并且一个中国朋友给我们做了饺子。（当然我们帮他一起做）

　　First I learned that for Chinese New Year it is common to give and receive red envelopes, also the traditional lion and dragon dances. You can always tell when Chinese New Year is around the corner because of the decoration adorning every street, storefront and homes. The color red is everywhere and I learned Chinese associated this color with wealth and good fortune. Also something new is that dumplings and mandarin oranges are a popular food during Chinese New Year.

　　在中国的新年里，我最先了解到事情是原来在中国送红包和收红包是很常见的，还有传统的舞狮和舞龙。你总是可以知道中国的新年即将来临，因为装饰每一条街道、商店和家庭的装饰。而且中国春节的时候，红色无处不在，我还了解到中国人把它与财富和好运联系在一起。饺子和桔子也是春节期间的一种流行食品，这对我来说也是一种全新的认知。

　　I’ve been living in China already for almost 7 years, and most of the time I am back home in December to celebrate Christmas and western New Year, and I have told my family and friends about Chinese New Year. Once I even made dumplings with my Chinese friend who lives in my home country. China and its culture had made a big impact in my life so many of the customs and celebrations that I learned in China will be always present in my life no matter where I am.

　　I will be in Shanghai organizing my new home since I just moved to a new place.

　　我已经在中国生活了近7年，大部分时候我都会在12月回家庆祝圣诞节和西历新年，我还告诉我的家人和朋友有关中国的新年。有一次，我甚至和住在祖国的中国朋友做了饺子。中国及其文化对我的生活产生了巨大的影响，我在中国学到了许多习俗和庆祝活动，无论我身在何处，它们都将永远存在于我的生活中。

　　我将在上海整理我的新家，因为我搬到了一个新的地方。
